Suncoast Foundation’s Annual Fundraiser Postponed in 2024 Due to Health Challenges
To the friends of the Suncoast Foundation for Handicapped Children,
I want to begin by expressing my deepest gratitude for your unwavering support and dedication over the years. It is through your generosity and support that we have been able to make a significant impact on the lives of special needs individuals in Sarasota County for the last 40 years.
It is with mixed emotions and a heavy heart that I must deliver some unfortunate news. After much consideration with my family, and medical professionals, we have come to the difficult decision that our annual fundraiser will not be held in 2024. This decision was not made lightly, but out of necessity due to unforeseen health challenges that both my wife and I have been facing. The multiple fundraising events have been a tradition that has brought us all together for many years, joined by a mutual love of great music, incredible friends, delicious food, and dedication the lives of our special needs community. I am saddened that it will not be an event that we will be coming together for this year.
The Suncoast Foundation for Handicapped Children has been an essential part of my life, and these fundraisers have played a vital role in our ability to support those in need. Your support of this event and the Foundation as whole has allowed us to raise millions of dollars that have made countless projects and initiatives possible to ensure special needs individuals receive the care, facilities, and resources they deserve.
Though we may not be able to gather this year at the Hoot ‘n’ Annie, I humbly ask for your continued support of The Suncoast Foundation for Handicapped Children. The need for your support is needed more than ever; and we pledge to continue to be excellent stewards of your contributions by financing important projects and initiatives that align with our mission. Your generous contributions allow us to build and renovate facilities, fund programs, and foster an inclusive environment for special needs individuals throughout our community.
In closing, I want to thank you for your unwavering support over the years. The Suncoast Foundation for Handicapped Children is not just a nonprofit organization; it is a family of like-minded individuals who believe in the power of positive change. Let’s continue this important work, together.
If you are willing and able to donate, please contact me directly. I am also happy to answer any questions you may have.
With gratitude,
Don Fisher
