Chairman’s Update

Practically a day does not go by that I am not asked about the future of the Suncoast BBQ & Bluegrass Bash. Unfortunately, there is no way for me to answer the question because we are in unchartered waters with this virus pandemic.

Hurdles for staging the BBQ Bash will be very daunting given the uncertainty of the economic impact, the government regulations and the public’s future attitude regarding large gatherings. We need to be sure that the event is financially feasible and sustainable. At this point it is impossible to make that decision.

We currently are planning the 11th annual Suncoast BBQ & Bluegrass Bash for March 26 & 27 of 2021 with all our award-winning pitmasters and an all-star lineup of bands already on board.

That being said, please rest assured that we continue our mission to ensure that Sarasota County-based non-profit organizations can continue to serve special needs people in our community in rent-free facilities.
